Nazarbayev University hosted the NU GLOBAL Forum, which became the concluding event of the cultural exchange initiative led by the NU Impact Foundation. The forum summarized the results of a large-scale program aimed at strengthening intercultural dialogue, fostering professional connections, and facilitating the exchange of experience among representatives of different countries and cultures.
Throughout the summer, participants of the initiative were engaged in a series of activities, including a grant competition for intercultural social projects, an educational journey across four regions of Kazakhstan, as well as sports and quest days. These activities allowed participants not only to gain a deeper understanding of the country’s cultural and social context, but also to build sustainable horizontal connections within the international NU community.
The NU GLOBAL Forum served as a platform for live communication and idea exchange. The program featured business talks, creative performances by Nazarbayev University student clubs, interactive AI-powered photo zones, and a lottery. Special emphasis was placed on creating an inclusive environment where every participant, regardless of cultural or language differences, could find common ground and establish both friendly and professional connections.
Today, Nazarbayev University hosts students from 35 countries around the world, and NU GLOBAL continues to play a key role in shaping an open, multicultural, and interconnected university community. The forum brought together international and Kazakhstani students, as well as representatives of diplomatic missions and development institutions, highlighting the strong interest in initiatives aimed at promoting intercultural engagement and international cooperation.
