Like the entire Nazarbayev University community, the Social Development Fund supports measures containing the spread of COVID-19.
Along with helping volunteers-students of Astana Medical University, Social Development Fund, in partnership with the National Volunteer Network, helped children of medical staff who faced the need to study remotely and do not have computers at home.
Families were selected based on data from local health departments and maslikhats. The majority of recipients were families of nurses, orderlies, and paramedics, including multi-child families. This way, the Social Development Fund has decided to express gratitude to medical personnel who make a considerable contribution to the fight against coronavirus infection.
In total, children of 100 medical workers in Pavlodar, Kokshetau, Kyzylorda, Shymkent, Temirtau, Taldykorgan, Aktobe received their computers.
Besides, the Fund purchased protective and diagnostics equipment for medical staff.
