220+ participants, 30 invited speakers, 19 universities across three days. The opening remarks were delivered by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Science and Higher Education.
What made ISEMD 2026 worth paying attention to was the breadth of its agenda. Six tracks running in parallel — energy conversion, environmental materials, optoelectronics, green chemistry, computational science, and commercialization.
The “Lab to Market” session brought investors, startup founders, and company CEOs into the same room as researchers. That configuration — rare at academic conferences — reflects a maturing ecosystem.
Kazakhstan is actively building that layer. And conferences like ISEMD are part of how it happens by connecting the right people at the right stage.
NU Impact Foundation was proud to support ISEMD 2026!
