Anel Zhauylbaeva, a 2nd-year student of the School of Sciences and Humanities of Nazarbayev University, initiated the project “Senim.” The project aims to offer employment opportunities and socialization for individuals with disabilities. It began with the production of frozen Russian ravioli and dumplings, which were well received by the private charitable foundation “Adal Niet Astana.” The next phase involves launching a printing house to provide employment for people with developmental disabilities.

he project has already demonstrated success with nine individuals from the social group working as effectively as ordinary employees. The grant of 5 million tenge from the Social Development Fund facilitated the project’s launch, providing financial support and a strong foundation in business education. The project team aims to create a sense of belonging, self-esteem, and confidence for employees, encouraging them to achieve more. Anel Zhauylbaeva advises aspiring social entrepreneurs to thoroughly prepare for the challenges and focus on gaining and retaining trust through programs like the “Jas Camp” incubator.
